Top 10 Stunning Gardens to Visit in 2024

Our fifth annual outdoor living design competition brought us to the beauty of nature, inspiring our winners to create serene and inviting landscapes. From Southern California to the English countryside, each winning design blends home and garden seamlessly, with whimsical art pieces, reflecting pools, and restored rose beds.

Interior designer Bunny Williams and Institute of Classical Architecture & Art president Peter Lyden returned as judges for the competition. The top 22 entries were carefully selected by VERANDA editors, from which Williams and Lyden chose our 2024 World’s Most Beautiful Gardens. We invite you to explore the four winning landscapes with us, each offering a unique and verdant oasis.

Michael P.H. Clifford’s design in Los Angeles, California, brings tropical poolside whimsy to life with objets d’art and lush greenery. Neil Landino’s Bridgehampton, New York design features modern reflections of the landscape, creating a harmonious blend of nature and design. Gabriela Yariv’s romantic comeback story in San Gabriel Valley, California, showcases a beautiful restoration of a once neglected garden. Marianne Majerus’s wild salute to the countryside in Dorset, England, immerses visitors in the beauty of nature.

Our methodology involved blind judging by Williams and Lyden, with the top 22 entries chosen by VERANDA editors. The call for entries for 2025’s World’s Most Beautiful Gardens is now open, with details available on our website.
