Universum recently released a new set of rankings reflecting the preferences of US students regarding their ideal employers. Among business students, JPMorgan Chase was ranked as the top choice. Fidelity Investments saw a significant improvement in rankings, moving from No. 22 to No. 15, while BlackRock moved up from No. 23 to No. 14.

The rankings were based on a survey conducted by Universum, which polled over 40,000 US students from September 2023 to April 2024. Students were asked to list up to five companies they considered their ideal employers, with the results used to compile the rankings.

For students entering the job market, finding a job at their dream company can be challenging, especially given the current state of the labor market. While many students are focused on returning to school for further education, recent graduates are navigating the job search process.

JPMorgan Chase emerged as the top choice among US business students, with a share of approximately 14%. Only the top four companies had shares exceeding 10% in the new rankings. Fidelity Investments saw a notable improvement, moving up to No. 15, while BlackRock also climbed in the rankings, reaching No. 14.

These rankings offer insight into the preferences of US students and shed light on the companies that are highly sought after as employers. It is important for students and recent graduates to be aware of these trends as they navigate their career paths and seek out opportunities in the job market.
