JMU football has had quite a bit of activity in the transfer portal this winter, prompting the creation of a new tracker to keep tabs on all the movement. The winter tracker can be found by following the provided link.
As of now, there have been no transfer additions to the JMU football team.
However, there have been several transfer departures from the team. Tyrique Tucker, a defensive tackle, showed promise in the 2023 season with significant playing time and production. Sammy Malignaggi, a backup running back, saw limited opportunities last season and likely wouldn’t have seen much playing time in 2024. Solomon Vanhorse, a versatile player at running back and returner, had a successful career with the Dukes but was expected to be the third running back on the depth chart. Collin Carroll, a tight end who redshirted in 2023, has decided to leave the program in search of more playing time. Wesley Bostic, an offensive lineman with three years of eligibility left, was not expected to see much playing time in 2024.
