It’s always heartwarming to witness current and former Ohio State football players giving back to the community, especially when we least expect it. Running back TreVeyon Henderson is a perfect example of this. While many believed he would leave for the NFL after last season, he made the decision to return along with other draft-eligible teammates in hopes of achieving something truly special this year.

Despite his electrifying performances on the field, it’s clear that Henderson is just as impressive off the field. Recently, he organized a youth football camp at Olentangy High School, located in a northern suburb of Columbus. Accompanied by his teammate Gee Scott Jr., as well as Olentangy coach Wade Bartholomew and Centric Sports Group, Henderson emphasized that the camp was about more than just football. It also focused on holistic well-being and included discussions about faith.

Henderson’s faith played a significant role in the camp, with his life verse, 2 Corinthians 5:7, featured on wristbands given out to participants. The event was a success, with Henderson actively participating in activities, taking photos, speaking, and signing autographs. His genuine enthusiasm and commitment to the community showcases that players like him are great ambassadors for the Ohio State football program.

It’s wonderful to see these initiatives come to life and demonstrate the positive impact athletes can have off the field. Keep up with the latest Ohio State news and updates by following us @BuckeyesWire on social media platforms. Follow Phil Harrison for more insightful coverage on X.
