Trinity Health is set to open a new emergency center in Plainfield Township, just north of Grand Rapids. The Trinity Health Emergency Center – Rockford will be located at 6050 Northland Drive NE and is scheduled to open on July 9. It will be conveniently situated just north of 7 Mile Road in Plainfield Township.
The emergency center will have a team of experienced medical professionals available at all hours to treat patients with emergent conditions, injuries, and illnesses. With nine beds, the facility will be equipped to handle a variety of medical issues, including chest and abdominal pain. The goal is to provide top-level emergency care to people in northern Kent County and surrounding communities.
According to Trinity Health Grand Rapids administrator Kristy Perez, the emergency medicine team at the center will offer assessment, triage, evaluation, stabilization, treatment, and priority transfer or direct admission to the hospital, as needed. This new facility will bring high-quality emergency care closer to home for residents of the area.
