Trump Takes Aim at Kamala Harris Amid Speculation of Biden’s Replacement

Donald Trump’s campaign and some of his supporters have launched a pre-emptive political offensive on US Vice President Kamala Harris amidst speculation that she may replace President Joe Biden as the Democratic party’s 2024 presidential candidate. A video has surfaced on social media showing Trump criticizing Harris and calling her “pathetic.” In the clip, Trump is seen sitting in a golf cart holding a stack of cash with his son Barron, suggesting that Biden is withdrawing from the race due to his poor performance in the June 27 debate. Trump expressed his belief that Harris would be a better candidate than Biden, whom he described as an “old, broken-down pile of crap.”

Trump also questioned Biden’s ability to handle foreign adversaries such as Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping in the video. He suggested that Biden was not capable of dealing with them effectively. White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre denied rumors of Biden withdrawing from the race, stating that he is “absolutely not” pulling out and remains committed to staying in the race. Biden himself reiterated this commitment during a call with campaign and party staffers, emphasizing that he is in the race until the end and is determined to win the presidency.

Democratic governors who attended an emergency meeting with Biden also pledged their continued support for him, expressing confidence in his ability to defeat Trump in 2024. Despite the attempts by Trump and his supporters to discredit Harris and create doubts about Biden’s candidacy, the President and his allies remain resolute in their determination to win the upcoming election.
