Former Wisconsin Badgers Micah Potter and Nigel Hayes were both named to the 2024 USA Basketball select team, along with players like Jalen Duran, Cooper Flagg, and others. This team will train alongside the 2024 USA Basketball Men’s National Team in preparation for the Olympic Games in Paris, France. The select team is made up of current NBA and G League players, as well as players with international experience.

Hayes, who recently won the 2024 Turkish League Championship with Fenerbahçe Beko, has played professionally in leagues around the world, including stints with the Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento Kings, and Toronto Raptors. Potter, on the other hand, has been playing in the G League since 2021, currently with the Salt Lake Stars.

This opportunity with the USA Basketball select team is significant for both former Badger stars as they continue to pursue their goals of returning to the NBA court. The team will be coached by Orlando Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley, providing valuable experience and exposure for all the players involved.
