Japan continues to excel in the airline industry, with two of its major carriers, All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Japan Airlines (JAL), ranking among the world’s top ten airlines in this year’s World Airline Awards by Skytrax. These awards are considered the Oscars of the aviation industry, based on data from an annual passenger satisfaction survey conducted between September 2023 and May 2024.

ANA claimed the fourth spot on the list, with Japan Airlines following closely behind in sixth place. Despite slipping down one spot each from their positions in the previous year’s rankings, both airlines maintained their strong presence in the top ten out of over 350 airlines surveyed.

In addition to their overall rankings, ANA was recognized for having the World’s Best Airport Services, Best Airline Staff in Asia, and Best Cabin Crew in Japan. On the other hand, Japan Airlines received accolades for having the world’s Best Premium Economy Class and Best Premium Economy Class Airline Seat.
