Four-star safety recruit Lagonza Hayward has decided to move up his commitment date to July 27, from his original plan of committing in August. The talented class of 2025 safety prospect has narrowed his choices down to Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee, eliminating Alabama, Florida State, and USC from consideration.
Hayward, who is ranked as the No. 6 safety in the country, currently plays high school football for Toombs County High School in Lyons, Georgia. Standing at 6 feet 1 inch and weighing 200 pounds, he is ranked as the No. 82 recruit nationally and the No. 11 player in Georgia. Hayward is a top target for head coach Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs.
Having visited Georgia and South Carolina, Hayward has official visits scheduled with Florida and Tennessee in the coming weeks. The Bulldogs have been making significant strides in recruiting, currently holding the No. 2 class of 2025 in the SEC. With four recent commitments, Georgia is establishing a strong foundation for the upcoming cycle.
