Feeding Minds Press has released a new children’s book called “The Soil in Jackie’s Garden” that will captivate young readers, garden enthusiasts, and science educators alike. This picture book follows Jackie and her garden friends as they explore the wonders of soil and the process of plant growth.
Written by acclaimed author Peggy Thomas and illustrated by talented artist Neely Daggett, “The Soil in Jackie’s Garden” is filled with scientific facts about soil, plants, pollinators, decomposers, and more. Readers ages six and up will learn about environmental stewardship, gardening care, plant life cycles, the importance of pollinators, and composting.
With educational materials on the soil cycle and composting included in the book, readers can deepen their understanding of agriculture and science. The Foundation for Agriculture will also be releasing more resources, including an educator’s guide, to help students explore the ways in which food is grown.
Feeding Minds Press is excited to add “The Soil in Jackie’s Garden” to their collection of engaging and educational picture books. This book is the 10th title from Feeding Minds Press, joining other popular titles like “Potatoes for Pirate Pearl” and “I LOVE Strawberries,” which has won several awards.
