Unifiedpost shareholders receive blunt news: appointment of four new directors and dismissal of chairman denied by Coucke

The company reported this on Tuesday evening. At the end of April, Marc Coucke, who controls approximately 15 percent of UnifiedPost through his holding company Alychlo, demanded change citing underperformance in recent years. Coucke proposed the appointment of four new directors and asked for the chairman’s resignation.

However, the board of directors of Unifiedpost reacted negatively to Coucke’s proposals, and shareholders followed that position during Tuesday’s shareholder meeting, the company said in a press release. The candidate directors proposed by Alychlo did not reach the required majority at the shareholders’ meeting to be elected as directors. The majority of shareholders voted against Alychlo’s proposal to dismiss two directors, including the chairman.
