Unique Storefront Sheds Light on Mental Health Awareness

A boardwalk in Bossier City, Louisiana is bringing awareness to mental health in a unique way. The boardwalk window, named “If Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemonade,” is not only meant to raise awareness but also to provide help to those who need it. ENCOURAGE fair sponsors provide low-cost or free counseling sessions and resources from qualified counselors to those in need in their communities.

Valencia MHP Counseling, an attorney for the counseling center, said, “People looking for pro bono or low-cost services just call (318) 200-0341 and we will set up an appointment with them. And if they have a low income, there are no costs. If they are middle-income, the costs are low. We have the money.”

This is the second year that the boardwalk has had this exhibition, and those who want to join the cause, offer hope and help to those in distress, or seek counseling can call (318) 200-0341. Multiple sessions are also available.
