On Monday, September 11, the 24th Annual Goering Center Family & Private Business Awards took place at the Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati. The event honored eleven local companies and two business leaders. Co-hosted by Carol Butler, the president of the Goering Center, and Cincinnati Bengals Legend Kenny Anderson, the ceremony aimed to recognize companies that embody the values and qualities of great organizations. Butler expressed that the awards provide a unique opportunity for businesses to showcase their successes and the positive impact they make in the community.
The event’s premier sponsors included Clark Schaefer Hackett, Fifth Third Bank, USI Insurance Services, and Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati. The 2023 Goering Center Family and Private Business Awards recognized the following businesses: Doran Manufacturing LLC, Kid’s First, KZF Design, Mackey Advisors, Metalworking Group, Mike Albert, Modern Ice Equipment & Supply, Monarch Financial Advisors, Paul Hemmer Company, and Solid Blend Technologies. Additionally, the Keith Baldwin Volunteer of the Year award was presented to Brad Haas from Katz Teller, while the Larry Grypp Rising Leader Award went to Billie Vega from Sweets & Meats BBQ.
The Greater Cincinnati Family Business Hall of Fame, which honors companies or individuals that have made a long-term positive impact on the community through employment growth, philanthropy, community engagement, and enhancement of the community’s image, inducted Verst Logistics as this year’s inductee.
