University of Hawaii women’s team suffers a 50-40 loss to Idaho | Latest updates on News, Sports, and Job opportunities

The University of Hawaii women’s basketball team is now 1-3 on the season following a 50-40 loss to Idaho in the Bank of Hawaii Classic on Sunday night at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu. Imani Perez and Daejah Phillips had 12 and 11 points, respectively for the Rainbow Wahine. However, the team only managed to shoot 29.4 percent from the field and 4 of 21 from behind the arc. Additionally, Brooklyn Rewers scored two points and pulled down nine rebounds.

The Vandals, who are now 3-1 on the season, were led by Sarah Brans with 12 points. They struggled with shooting as well, making only 25.5 percent of their attempts, but they won the rebounding battle 44-38.

The Rainbow Wahine will host the Rainbow Wahine Showdown next, facing off against Air Force on Friday, Idaho State on Saturday, and Washington on Sunday.
