Unknown gunman shot Israeli embassy guard with bow in Serbia, guard kills attacker

A security guard at the Israeli Embassy in Belgrade was able to successfully neutralize an unknown assailant who had shot him with an arrow. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic stated that on Saturday, June 29th, an unidentified individual shot an arrow at a police officer who was guarding the Israeli Embassy building. The 34-year-old policeman, who was shot in the neck, reacted quickly and used his weapon to neutralize the attacker, who unfortunately died from his injuries. The injured policeman was taken to the intensive care center for surgery, and investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances of the attack and the motives of the perpetrator.

The Israeli Embassy remained closed following the incident, as there were no employees present in the building.
