UNSW Sydney maintains Top 20 ranking in QS World University Rankings

For the second year in a row, the University has secured the 19th spot in global rankings, solidifying its position as one of the top 20 universities in the world. This achievement highlights the high standard of education and research offered at UNSW Sydney, while also showcasing Australia’s standing in the global higher education landscape.

Professor Attila Brungs, the Vice-Chancellor and President of UNSW Sydney, expressed his pride in the university’s accomplishment in its 75th anniversary year. He emphasized the importance of dedication to students, innovation, and collaborations with communities and industries in maintaining this prestigious ranking.

The QS World University Rankings, which are compiled by Quacquarelli Symonds, focus on employability and sustainability among other factors. With 1503 institutions from 106 locations included in the rankings, UNSW’s performance illustrates its commitment to making a positive impact on society and the environment through education and research.

Professor Merlin Crossley, the Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research & Enterprise, highlighted UNSW’s consistent improvement in areas such as sustainability and academic/employer reputation. This recognition reinforces UNSW’s reputation for academic excellence and its ability to produce highly valued graduates.
