He admitted that his candidacy was unexpected but expressed gratitude towards those who made it possible, including María Corina Machado and Manuel Rosales.

Urrutia also acknowledged the support of professor Corina Yoris, who replaced Machado after she was disqualified by the Maduro regime. He highlighted the unity within the opposition and their shared goal of bringing Venezuela back to being an international democratic reference.
