USDA and Inspira Health Partner to Provide $1M Grant for Medical Center in South Jersey

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has awarded a $1 million health care grant for state-of-the-art medical equipment at Inspira Health‘s Medical Center Mannington, according to a recent announcement from the South Jersey health system. This grant was made possible through the USDA Rural Development Undersecretary Dr. Basil Gooden and New Jersey State Director Jane Asselta joining Inspira Health CEO and President Amy Mansue to formally announce the news. Dr. Gooden emphasized the importance of supporting rural and tribal communities in accessing high-quality health care services, especially during these challenging times.

The project funded through the USDA’s Community Programs focuses on providing essential equipment and services for the historically underserved rural populations in the South Jersey area. This grant also supports a larger revitalization effort of the Inspira Medical Center Mannington. CEO Mansue expressed gratitude to the USDA for recognizing the need and to the Inspira team for their hard work in bringing this project to life. The funds were used to purchase critical medical equipment, ranging from cardiac/pulmonary equipment to ventilators, blood pressure monitors, defibrillators, and more.

This equipment will enable the outstanding staff at Inspira Medical Center Mannington to provide an optimal patient experience. The purchases include EEG machines, dopplers, exercise equipment for cardiac rehab, hi-flow machines, and X-ray equipment. Overall, this grant will help enhance the level of care provided at the medical center and improve health outcomes for the rural communities it serves.
