The Utah Jazz are introducing a new color scheme to their uniforms, bringing back the purple, white, and sky blue mountain design. The franchise is embracing purple as the primary color and transitioning away from the black and yellow scheme introduced two years ago. Governor Ryan Smith expressed excitement for the new branding, emphasizing the importance of Mountain Basketball and the connection to the community.
The decision to focus on purple reflects the team’s identity and the desire to align internally with fans and players. The new uniforms will feature the mountain scheme, with four different designs set to debut in the 2025-26 season. The transition will begin with the phase-out of the black and yellow uniforms next season, leading to the full implementation of the purple-centric color palette.
The Utah Jazz will wear white and yellow jerseys for the 2024-25 season before transitioning to the new Mountain Association Edition in 2025-026. The Statement Edition jerseys will be retired in December, replaced by black jerseys with mountain designs in January. The purple Icon Edition jerseys are set to debut in the 2025-26 season, featuring the updated J-note logo in purple without the “Utah Jazz” wordmark underneath.
