Following the procedure, Varga was discharged from the hospital in Stuttgart and is now recovering at home in Hungary, according to a statement from the Hungarian Football Federation.
During the match, Varga was involved in a harrowing mid-air collision with Scotland goalkeeper Angus Gunn while going for a cross. His teammates quickly realized the seriousness of his injury and helped facilitate his removal from the field on a stretcher.
