Variations in Gulf stocks performance as Saudi index continues to decline

On Wednesday, GCC stocks showed a mixed performance. In the UAE, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange index decreased by 0.4% to 8,965.81 points, while the Dubai Securities Exchange index increased by 0.18% to 4,006.07 points. The main market index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (TASI) fell by 0.63% to 11,656.35 points with trading valued at 5.4 billion riyals. The volume of shares traded amounted to 280 million shares shared in more than 470 thousand transactions.

The general market index on the Kuwait Stock Exchange fell by 0.73% to 6,927.11 points. The volume of shares traded amounted to 134.8 million shares through 13,374 cash transactions worth 44.5 million dinars. The Bahrain All Share Index also saw a decline of 0.09% to 2033.92 points, with trading of 693,685 shares worth 225,353 dinars.

On the other hand, the Qatar Stock Exchange index rose by 0.44% to 9,871 points, with the trading volume in the market amounting to approximately 504 million riyals. In the Muscat Stock Exchange, the 30 index rose by 1.64% to 4,673.53 points with a trading value reaching 1.56 million riyals.

Outside of the Gulf region, the Egyptian Stock Exchange index “EGX 30” also saw a positive performance, rising by 0.87% to 27,500.56 points. The market conditions and trading activities in the different regions were reflected in the fluctuating stock prices and trading volumes.
