Barrow midfielder Sam Foley has renewed his contract with the club until 2025. The 37-year-old has been a key player for the Bluebirds since joining in 2022, with 92 appearances in all competitions. Over his 16-year football career, Foley has played in over 500 games in the EFL and National League, with stints at clubs like Newport, Yeovil Town, Port Vale, Northampton, and St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership.
Foley made his league debut for Yeovil Town in 2012 and has had a successful career, helping Yeovil get promoted to the Championship in the 2012-13 season. He was named St Mirren’s player of the year during his time in Scotland and has shown his value both on and off the field.
Barrow sporting director Iain Wood emphasized the importance of Foley’s experience and commitment, stating that he still has a lot to offer the team. Foley’s leadership and skills are seen as invaluable to the younger members of the squad, making his new deal a valuable addition to the team’s future success.
