The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth recently announced that Dr. Darrius Douglas has been appointed as the vice provost of enrollment management. Douglas, who previously served as the dean of enrollment management at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, will officially assume his new role on July 29. With over 21 years of experience in strategic policy development and leadership in the areas of student services, enrollment management, financial aid, and enrollment marketing, Douglas is well-positioned to drive the university’s strategic enrollment plan in his new role.

In his capacity as the vice provost of enrollment management, Douglas will oversee admissions, recruitment, financial aid, and the registrar’s office at HSC. This newly created position is part of a larger strategic enrollment plan that the university is introducing. Dr. Trisha Van Duser, the senior vice provost at HSC, expressed enthusiasm about Douglas leading the enrollment management division and guiding the institution towards future growth and expansion. She highlighted Douglas’s proven track record, expertise in strategic enrollment, data analysis, and customer relationship management as valuable assets for the university.

Dr. Douglas holds a Doctor of Education in Higher Education and Organizational Change and a Master of Science in Information Systems Project Management from Benedictine University. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from DePaul University. Prior to his appointment at HSC, Douglas achieved notable milestones during his tenure at DuPage, including a 5% increase in year-over-year spring enrollment and forming a key sponsorship with Amazon’s Career Choice Program. With previous roles at institutions like the New York Film Academy and the Tulane University School of Social Work, Douglas brings a wealth of experience in driving enrollment and student retention efforts.

At Tulane University, Douglas and his team achieved significant milestones, such as producing the largest incoming class in the School of Social Work’s history, boosting full-time enrollment by 32%, and increasing out-of-state enrollment by 44%. Douglas also developed strategic recruitment and retention plans that led to a 37% increase in overall enrollment and a 29% rise in transfer student enrollment over a two-year period. His impressive achievements and leadership background make him an ideal candidate to lead enrollment management at The University of North Texas Health Science Center.
