VIDEO: Top-rated tight end Linkon Cure set to announce college football commitment live on 247Sports on Monday

Linkon Cure, a five-star tight end, will be announcing his college decision on July 1 during the 247Sports Football Recruiting Show at 5 p.m. ET. Considered to be the favorite to land Cure is Kansas State, as all five of the 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions point to the Wildcats. Cure is ranked as the No. 2 tight end and the No. 26 overall prospect in the Class of 2025 Top247 rankings.

In addition to Kansas State, Cure’s other finalists include Oregon, Texas A&M, and Kansas. He has visited each of these schools since Memorial Day, with Kansas State being his final official visit on June 21. Chris Klieman’s Wildcats have been successful in recruiting in-state talent recently, and Cure could potentially be the highest-rated player to ever commit to Kansas State.

Cure is a multi-sport athlete at Goodland High School, excelling in track and field, basketball, and of course, football. In track and field, he is a two-time Kansas 3A champion in the 300-meter hurdles and has achieved success in various other events. In basketball, he played a key role in his team’s run to a Kansas 3A title game, averaging 11.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game as a junior.

On the football field, Cure was named a Kansas 3A All-State selection after an impressive junior season where he recorded 42 catches for 946 yards and 14 touchdowns. According to scouting reports from 247Sports, Cure is praised for his elite route running, ability to create separation, success in catching contested balls, and potential to improve as a blocker at the next level. Wherever Cure chooses to continue his athletic career, he is expected to make an immediate impact in 2025.
