Led by captain Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid, the team visited the Prime Minister at his official residence. Upon their arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, the team was greeted by enthusiastic fans, despite tight security measures in place. Buses transported the players to the ITC Maurya Sheraton hotel, where they were welcomed by traditional Bhangra dancers and dhol performers, creating a festive atmosphere. Players like Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, and Rishabh Pant joined in the dancing, adding to the joyous experience for everyone present.

The celebratory mood extended to on-duty security personnel, who were seen enjoying the festivities alongside the team and fans. A cake-cutting ceremony was held for the players, allowing them to interact with the crowd and share the joy of their World Cup victory. Following their meeting with Prime Minister Modi, the team departed for Mumbai, where they have a victory parade and felicitation ceremony scheduled at Wankhede Stadium.
