Health and Human Services in North Dakota has issued a warning regarding a recalled product. The FDA announced a recall of Prophet Premium Blends Diamond ShruumzTM chocolate bars, cones, gummies, and related products due to potentially toxic levels of Muscimol. It is important to note that stores selling these products may not be licensed or regulated by the state, and they may still be available for purchase through different channels.
According to the CDC, there have been 48 reported illnesses in 24 states linked to these products. Of those affected, 46 sought medical care, with 27 individuals requiring hospitalization. In North Dakota, there has been a death potentially associated with Diamond ShruumzTM products, though the exact cause has not yet been confirmed and is under investigation by multiple agencies.
Symptoms of consuming these products may include seizures, loss of consciousness, confusion, sleepiness, abnormal heart rates, high or low blood pressure, nausea, and vomiting. A total of 22 different flavors are included in the recall list.
It is crucial for consumers to be aware of this recall and avoid purchasing or consuming any of the recalled products to prevent any potential harm.
