Washington Nationals starting right-handed pitcher Josiah Gray is set to make a rehab start with the Harrisburg Senators on Friday night after being placed on the injured list on April 9 due to a right elbow/flexor strain. Gray began his rehab with Fredericksburg and pitched on June 9 against Kannapolis.
So far this season, Gray has started two games for the Nationals and has a 14.04 ERA across 8.1 innings pitched. He has recorded nine strikeouts, walked five batters, and allowed 15 hits and 13 runs. Originally drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in 2018 with the 72nd overall pick, Gray has been playing with Washington since the 2021 season and has appeared in a total of 72 games for the team.
The Harrisburg Senators will be taking on the Bowie Baysox at 6 p.m. on Friday at FNB Field. The team is celebrating Halfway to Christmas night with the first 1,000 fans in attendance receiving Senators Christmas socks. After the game, there will be a fireworks show for fans to enjoy.
