Pakistan’s cricket team is under fire following their early exit from the T20 World Cup. The 2009 champions failed to advance to the next round after losing to the USA and India, with their only win coming against Canada. Former captain Wasim Akram has been a vocal critic of the team’s performance, expressing disappointment and calling for changes in the squad.

In response to the USA’s qualification for the Super Eight stage, Akram congratulated the team but also delivered a sharp message to Pakistan’s players, led by Babar Azam. He suggested that the team should take a flight to Dubai and reevaluate their strategy. Akram has criticized the team selection process, suggesting that players are chosen based on personal relationships rather than merit.

Former player Kamran Akmal also chimed in, claiming that Shadab Khan’s selection over Usama Mir was due to his close relationship with captain Babar Azam. Akmal believes that choosing players based on friendships leads to poor results and injustice. The criticism of Pakistan’s team has been unrelenting following their disappointing performance in the T20 World Cup.
