Watch the Cricket World Cup matches from the comfort of the North Oculus Plaza at the World Trade Center if you can’t make it to the new stadium in Nassau County on Long Island. The International Cricket Council (ICC) and Port Authority are hosting free public viewing parties during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 tournament, with games being shown on a big screen.

Local businesses in East Meadow, Long Island are preparing for a boost in customers as they gear up for this year’s Cricket World Cup. NBC New York’s Erica Byfield reports that preparations are in full swing.

The viewing parties will feature matches such as India vs. Ireland, Papua New Guinea vs. Uganda, Australia vs. Oman, U.S. vs. Pakistan, Namibia vs. Scotland, Netherlands vs. South Africa, and more. Fans are encouraged to RSVP for each viewing party via Eventbrite to secure their spot.

Activities for fans during the parties will include face painting, cricket simulators, and appearances by players and mascots. The anticipation for the Cricket World Cup on Long Island is building up, with many looking forward to the event.
