The West End Health Foundation (WEHF) recently presented grants to schools in Ishpeming, Negaunee, and NICE communities. In Ishpeming, the grant was received by Carrie Meyer, the superintendent of Ishpeming Public Schools. In Negaunee, the grant was accepted by Dan Skewis, the superintendent of Negaunee Public Schools. Finally, in the NICE community, Bryan DeAugustine, the superintendent of NICE Community Schools, received the grant on behalf of the school.
The grants were presented by various members of the WEHF, including Tom Edmark, the WEHF president, Karl Lehmann, Paul Bonetti, Kori Bjorne, and Kurt Lehmann, MD. The foundation aims to support health and wellness initiatives in the West End communities and is dedicated to improving the overall health of residents.
