West Georgia Technical College Appoints Lucinda Montgomery as Dean of Trade and Technology

Lucinda Montgomery has been appointed as the new Dean for the School of Trade and Technology at West Georgia Technical College (WGTC). Montgomery brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as the Associate Dean of Trade and Technology at WGTC. Kristen Buoy, Vice President of Academic Affairs, expressed excitement about working with Montgomery and the positive impact her leadership will bring to the school.

Before joining WGTC, Montgomery was an Associate Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Georgia Highlands College. In that role, she designed and taught courses in the Bachelor of Business Administration pathway and worked as a Quality Matters peer reviewer to ensure course accessibility for online learners. Montgomery is also an Air Force Veteran with extensive experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, having started her career in 2000. She holds a Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration at Georgia State University.

Montgomery expressed her honor at stepping into the new role and continuing her journey with West Georgia Technical College. She looks forward to collaborating with faculty and staff to enhance programs and create more opportunities for students. West Georgia Technical College offers over 120 associate degree, diploma, and technical certificate programs of study across several counties in Georgia.
