Ground/Water Treatment & Technology (GWTT) based in Wharton recently announced its acquisition of Carbonworks USA, a company based in Atlantic Beach, Florida. Carbonworks is known for providing water treatment equipment systems, filtration media, and related services in the mid-Atlantic and southeastern regions of the United States.

GWTT offers comprehensive commercial water treatment services, ranging from process and design engineering to system construction, start-up, operations and maintenance, system optimization, and equipment sales and rentals. With the acquisition of Carbonworks, GWTT now has a presence in Florida, allowing for further expansion in the southeastern region. Additionally, the company’s existing operations in the mid-Atlantic will benefit from Carbonworks’ Virginia facility.

The acquisition of Carbonworks will enable GWTT to support larger and more complex projects for Carbonworks’ current customers using its wide range of solutions and services. Carbonworks, established in 2018, was developed by a dedicated team of owner-operators who will continue to work with GWTT following the acquisition.

Richard Worthington, president of GWTT, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition and the opportunities it presents for the company’s growth and expansion. “This acquisition aligns with our goals for revenue growth, regional expansion, and leadership in the market segment as we strive to meet the increasing demand for our comprehensive water treatment services,” Worthington said.
