WhatsApp Business introduces new AI features for creating announcements and providing chat assistance.

Meta has introduced new features powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) in WhatsApp Business, enabling users to create ads for Facebook or Instagram and provide customer assistance in chats related to their products and services. The company also announced the launch of Meta Verified for business accounts. The announcement was made during the international event ‘Conversations’ hosted by WhatsApp in São Paulo, Brazil, where new experiences and functionalities for companies using the messaging service were unveiled.

At the event, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed new AI tools for WhatsApp Business to enhance customer assistance and streamline operations for companies. Businesses can use AI to automatically answer popular questions received in chats, improving customer response time and efficiency. AI will also assist companies in selling their products and services and create ads for Instagram or Facebook within WhatsApp Business to drive customer engagement.

Additionally, AI will enable companies to follow up with customers, provide personalized messages, and direct appropriate messages to specific customers through chats. Meta has also introduced Meta Verified for WhatsApp Business, offering account verification and protection against identity theft. This paid service includes additional functions for content creators and organizations, such as account verification badges to confirm a company’s identity.

Meta Verified has been launched in Brazil, Indonesia, and Colombia, with plans to expand to more countries. The company aims to provide a secure and verified platform for businesses to engage with customers effectively. In addition to Meta Verified, WhatsApp Business will introduce a new calling function that allows users to call large companies directly from the chat, providing quick solutions for complex requests or customer issues.

The calling feature is currently being tested and will be expanded to more companies in the coming months. Meta hopes to continue expanding services to more businesses and countries in the future. Overall, these new AI-powered features and functionalities aim to enhance the customer experience and improve communication between businesses and their customers on WhatsApp Business.
