Willie Nelson, the 91-year-old singer-songwriter, made a comeback on Thursday evening after missing several shows due to health issues. After canceling performances on his Outlaw Music Festival tour in late June, Nelson returned to the stage at his 4th of July Picnic concert in Camden, N.J. His team shared a video on Instagram showing the singer walking out on stage to cheers and applause.

During the concert, Nelson performed over 20 songs, including hits like “On the Road Again” and “Always on My Mind.” This appearance marked his return to performing after being advised by doctors to rest for four days in late June. Nelson’s team mentioned that he is expected to make a quick recovery and continue with the Outlaw Music Festival tour, which features other artists like Bob Dylan, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, John Mellencamp, and Billy Strings.

Nelson’s health issues had caused concern among fans, leading to the cancellation of shows on his tour. However, his return to the stage at the 4th of July Picnic concert reassured fans that he was doing well and ready to perform. As one of the most iconic and enduring figures in country music, Willie Nelson’s concerts continue to draw big crowds and receive overwhelming support from fans.
