Ben Wilson, who has represented Northern Ireland at U17 and U19 levels, will be making a move to Scottish Championship side Airdrieonians after his contract with Cliftonville expires at the end of the month. The 22-year-old, who previously played for Brighton and Coleraine, joined the Reds last summer and made an impact by scoring 18 goals in 34 appearances.

Expressing his excitement about the move, Wilson stated, “I’m happy to be here, I had a good first training session and met all the boys, and it’s been good. I had a good season last season so I just want to build on that again. I want to play as many games as I can and hopefully the goals will come along as well.”

Airdrieonians manager Rhys McCabe has high hopes for Wilson, praising his natural finishing ability, clever movement, and predatory instinct in the box. McCabe believes that Wilson’s skills will complement the team’s style of play, which focuses on creativity and attacking prowess. With Wilson’s talent and work ethic, he is expected to be a valuable addition to the squad at the Excelsior Stadium.
