World Drug Day 2024: Exploring the Theme, Significance, and Facts

The issue of drug abuse remains a significant threat to global health and social well-being. In light of this, the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking will be observed on June 26th. This annual campaign aims to bring attention to the devastating consequences of drug use, such as physical and psychological harm, overdose deaths, and societal problems.

The World Drug Report, released annually by UNODC, provides important data and facts based on rigorous research and scientific approaches. The report for this year will be published on June 26, coinciding with World Drug Day.
