WSVN 7News: Two Men in Custody for String of Business Burglaries in South Florida – Miami News, Weather, Sports

Two men have been arrested for a string of burglaries targeting businesses in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Zeffery Lundy and Micah Jackson were accused of breaking into eight Dunkin’ Donuts locations and one Mobile gas station. The Broward Sheriff’s Office, along with the Burglary Apprehension Team (B.A.T.) and other law enforcement agencies, coordinated efforts to make the arrests. The burglaries took place while the businesses were closed, with the suspects stealing cash. Detectives were able to identify a distinctive white 2018 Chevrolet Equinox used by the suspects during the crimes.

Surveillance operations led investigators to a Dunkin’ Donuts in Dania Beach, where they saw a suspect leaving with a cash register. The suspect then got into a vehicle and drove to a gas station in Lauderdale Lakes, where both men were taken into custody. Lundy faces multiple charges, including burglary of an unoccupied structure, petit theft, criminal mischief, attempted conspiracy to commit a felony, and possession of burglary tools. Jackson, identified as the driver during the incidents, was charged with burglary of an unoccupied structure, attempted conspiracy to commit a felony, and driving with a suspended license.

Both men are expected to face additional charges as the investigation progresses. Authorities are continuing to gather evidence to build a case against them. The arrests were the result of a coordinated effort by multiple law enforcement agencies working together to put an end to the string of burglaries in the area. Residents and business owners can feel more at ease knowing that the suspects have been taken into custody and will face consequences for their actions.
