Indianapolis has been selected to host WWE WrestleMania for the first time since 1992, as well as WWE SummerSlam for the first time since 2008. Additionally, the Circle City will host WWE Royal Rumble for the first time on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025. The announcement was set in motion by WWE Monday Night Raw being held in Gainbridge Fieldhouse, with former Indianapolis Colts star Pat McAfee on the commentary team.

Initial reports of a multi-year deal between Indiana Sports Corp and WWE were released on June 20 by WrestleVotes, with a news release from Indiana Sports Corp confirming the deal on Monday morning. A press conference is scheduled at Gainbridge Fieldhouse Ascension St. Vincent Entry Pavilion for 11 a.m. Patrick Talty, President of Indiana Sports Corp, expressed excitement about the partnership with WWE, highlighting the potential for international brand-building media coverage.

Chris Legentil, WWE EVP, Talent Relations & Head of Communications, praised Indianapolis as a fantastic city for major events and announced that Lucas Oil Stadium will host the Royal Rumble in 2025, as well as future SummerSlam and WrestleMania events. The agreement between WWE and Indianapolis designates Gainbridge Fieldhouse as the host venue for Monday Night Raw, Friday Night SmackDown tapings, and other select Premium Live Events. SummerSlam and WrestleMania will each be two-night events when hosted in Indianapolis, with additional events planned for Fort Wayne and Evansville.
