WWE and Indiana Sports Corp. have joined forces to bring the sports entertainment company’s biggest stadium events to Indianapolis. This groundbreaking partnership will see Royal Rumble, SummerSlam, and WrestleMania held at Lucas Oil Stadium over the coming years. The first event, Royal Rumble, is scheduled for Feb. 1, 2025.
WWE, a part of TKO Group Holdings, anticipates that these three events alone will have a significant economic impact of over $300 million. In addition to the stadium events, the agreement includes WWE television shows such as Raw, Smackdown, and NXT, as well as live events in cities like Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and Evansville.
Indiana Sports Corp., with a history dating back to 1979, has a strong track record of hosting major sporting events. Super Bowl XLVI, the College Football Playoff National Championship, and various NCAA Final Fours are just some examples of the prestigious events the organization has successfully managed. The economic impact of these events has been immense, with over $4 billion in direct spending in the community attributed to them.
Patrick Talty, president of Indiana Sports Corp., expressed excitement about the partnership with WWE, stating that it aligns perfectly with the city’s sports strategy. By bringing in millions of visitors and garnering international media coverage, the collaboration promises to be a win-win for both parties involved.
