WWE and Indiana Sports Corp. have joined forces to bring WWE’s biggest stadium events to Indianapolis. The partnership will start with the Royal Rumble on Feb. 1, 2025 at Lucas Oil Stadium. In the following years, the stadium will also host a SummerSlam and WrestleMania, each spanning two nights.
According to WWE, these events, including WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Royal Rumble, bring in more than $300 million in economic impact. In addition to the stadium events, WWE television shows like Raw, Smackdown, and NXT, as well as live events in cities such as Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and Evansville, will be part of the partnership.
Indiana Sports Corp., a key player in hosting major sporting events since its founding in 1979, has a rich history of hosting over 500 national and international events. These include Super Bowl XLVI, the College Football Playoff National Championship, and Men’s & Women’s NCAA Final Fours. The total direct spending generated by these events in the community has surpassed $4 billion. The collaboration with WWE is seen as a strategic move to further enhance the city’s sports strategy and bring in global attention.
