Yale tackle Kiran Amegadjie announced his intention to enter the 2024 NFL Draft on Monday. It’s not common for Ivy League players to make the jump to the NFL, but Amegadjie is an exception. He played right guard as a freshman and then moved to left tackle in 2022. He was an All-Ivy first-team selection, but his 2023 season was cut short by a quad injury that required surgery.
In October, Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy said that his staff ranked Amegadjie as the only player below the top division of college football with a chance to be selected on the second day of the draft. The inability to do on-field work leading up to the draft could impact his ultimate spot, but Amegadjie seems likely to hear his name called at some point.
