Aaron Judge made history by becoming the third player in Yankees franchise history to reach 80 RBI before July, joining legends Lou Gehrig and Babe Ruth. In a recent game against the Blue Jays, Judge hit a two-run homer in a win over Toronto as part of his incredible start to the season, leading MLB with 31 homeruns and 82 RBI.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone praised Judge’s performance, noting that he continuously puts himself in conversations alongside Gehrig and Ruth. Gleyber Torres also commended Judge for his leadership and the team’s ability to feed off his energy heading into the month of July.
Despite being in contention for the Triple Crown while batting .316 and leading MLB alongside Shohei Ohtani, Judge remains focused on the team’s ultimate goal of winning a championship. He emphasized that individual accolades are not a priority for him, as he and his teammates are all committed to working towards a championship for the Yankees.
