Yellen: Economy is Strong, Inflation Expected to Decrease

During an interview with Reuters, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen expressed her optimism about the performance of the U.S. economy, stating that it is continuing to do very well. Despite data showing slower growth in the last quarter, Yellen mentioned that there were peculiar reasons for this trend but emphasized that they were not concerning.

Yellen also mentioned her expectation for housing inflation to decrease as the year goes on and expressed confidence that inflation will return to more normal levels. She highlighted that the fundamentals are indicating a downward trend in inflation.

Overall, Yellen’s statements reflect her positive outlook on the U.S. economy and her belief that inflation will eventually decrease to more typical levels.
