After earning a Colorado football scholarship from head coach Deion Sanders this spring, Buffs fans are eager to see what running back Charlie Offerdahl will do in 2024. However, in the meantime, his younger brother Jack is making a name for himself. Following in his older brother’s footsteps, Jack became an impact player at Dakota Ridge High School in Littleton as a sophomore. Playing as a defensive back, he had an impressive season with 80 total tackles, three interceptions, and 12 pass deflections in 12 games, according to MaxPreps.
Recently, Jack attended Colorado’s summer elite camp, which is open to high school football players. By the end of the day, he was recognized by Colorado cornerbacks coach Kevin Mathis as one of the top five defensive backs at the camp. This recognition is significant not only because of Mathis’ coaching status but also due to his 10-year NFL career.
As a class of 2026 prospect, Jack still has two more years to impress college scouts across the nation. With early recognition from Colorado, there is potential for Jack Offerdahl to follow in his brother’s footsteps and join the Buffaloes in the future. Fans may soon hear another Offerdahl saying, “Home is where the buffalo roam.”
