Ashley Young, a veteran former England defender, has signed a one-year contract extension with Everton. He joined the club last summer and made 34 appearances as they finished 15th in the league. The 38-year-old expressed his excitement to continue with Everton until June 2025, citing his love for the club and determination to succeed.

In addition to Young’s extension, talks to sign Marseille forward Iliman Ndiaye are progressing well. Ndiaye, a 24-year-old Senegal international, scored four goals in 46 games for Marseille last season. Everton and Marseille are reported to be close to finalizing an agreement for Ndiaye to join the Toffees, making him Everton’s third signing of the summer.

Ndiaye, who joined Marseille from Sheffield United for £20m, would bring additional firepower to Everton’s attacking lineup. His potential arrival at Goodison Park adds depth and quality to the squad following the signings of winger Jack Harrison and midfielder Tim Iroegbunam earlier in the transfer window.

The signings of Young and the potential addition of Ndiaye signal Everton’s ambition to strengthen their squad and compete at a higher level in the upcoming season. Both players bring experience and skill to the team, enhancing Everton’s prospects for success on the pitch. With Young’s extension and Ndiaye’s imminent arrival, Everton fans have reasons to be optimistic about the team’s future.
