YouTube has introduced a new feature in its Android application search bar, which now includes a button for the Google Lens image recognition application. This button is located next to the microphone option on the search bar. Google Lens is a visual search application available on Android, iOS, and Desktop platforms, allowing users to recognize and analyze images through their mobile camera or by uploading a photo from the device’s gallery.

While Google Lens already has its shortcut in the search bar on mobile phones and the web version, Google has decided to integrate it into the YouTube search engine as well. According to a recent report by 9to5Google, this new feature has been enabled in the YouTube search bar for Android devices, placed next to the microphone button for voice commands. By clicking on the Google Lens button, the camera opens automatically.

Once Google Lens recognizes the content, it provides available options that match the search query by identifying text or images from the photo. This feature is powered by Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology. However, it is important to note that this feature has not been globally implemented yet and is only available to some users who have logged in with the same account.
