Tottenham Hotspur’s Yves Bissouma experienced a frightening incident outside his hotel in Cannes, France. The 27-year-old midfielder was the victim of a violent hold-up in which his watch, valued at 300,000 euros, was stolen. Bissouma, who was born in Ivory Coast and plays for Mali, was returning to his hotel with his partner in the early hours of Sunday morning when the robbery occurred.

Upon arriving at their luxury hotel on the Croisette, two hooded men approached Bissouma and his partner. In an attempt to seek refuge inside the hotel, Bissouma was attacked with tear gas by the assailants, who then stole his watch. The perpetrators fled the scene after the robbery, leaving Bissouma shaken by the ordeal.

Bissouma’s lawyer, Bastien Caire, declined to comment on the incident as the police investigation into the robbery is ongoing. The footballer’s harrowing experience serves as a reminder of the dangers that individuals, even professional athletes, can face in unforeseen situations.
