Highly sought-after four-star pass rusher Zion Grady has officially committed to play for the Ohio State Buckeyes. This decision came after Grady switched his commitment from the Alabama Crimson Tide following Nick Saban’s retirement. Originally, many had projected Grady to commit to the Georgia Bulldogs, but he ultimately chose Ohio State to further strengthen their already impressive No. 1 recruiting class.

Grady’s commitment adds to the Buckeyes’ impressive recruiting haul for the class of 2025, as they now have commitments from 19 top prospects. Ohio State is closely followed by Alabama, who boasts the nation’s No. 2 recruiting class, and Georgia, who sits at No. 5 in the rankings.

Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 235 pounds, Grady currently plays high school football at Enterprise High School in Alabama. He previously played for Charles Henderson High School in Troy. Grady is ranked as the No. 66 player in the 2025 recruiting cycle and is considered the sixth-best player in the state of Alabama as well as the sixth-ranked edge rusher in the country.

Grady, known for his explosiveness and ability to bend around offensive linemen, has been a standout on the field. He helped lead Charles Henderson to a state championship game appearance in two consecutive seasons and put up impressive numbers last year, tallying 11 sacks and 87 tackles. In addition to football, Grady also excels on the basketball court.

Looking ahead, Georgia football will shift its focus to recruiting five-star edge rusher Isaiah Gibson and four-star edge rusher Julius Holly following Grady’s commitment. With his talent and skills, Grady is sure to make a significant impact at the collegiate level and beyond.
