Multi Level Group has announced its collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office to work on developing electric vertical take-off aircraft (eVTOL) in the UAE and beyond. The agreement was signed between the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, Multi Level Group, and Ehang company during the “DriftX” event, a platform for experts to discuss innovations shaping the future of mobility.
Ehang company plans to establish a regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi to enhance its commercial activities with local partners in various sectors like industrial manufacturing, aviation, research and development, training, and maintenance. The Abu Dhabi Investment Office will support Ehang in establishing and growing its business in the emirate, providing resources related to setting up manufacturing facilities and industrial services, and facilitating international trade opportunities.
Acting Director General of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, Badr Salim Sultan Al Olama, emphasized the importance of attracting international companies to advance smart and autonomous transportation technologies. Multi Level Group’s Chairman, Abdul Jabbar Al Sayegh, expressed excitement about partnering with Ehang to drive innovation in the air vehicle industry and contribute to Abu Dhabi becoming a global hub for electric helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Ehang’s CEO, Huazi Hu, highlighted Abu Dhabi’s reputation for adopting innovative technologies and emphasized the cooperation’s role in enhancing Ehang’s presence in the Middle East and North Africa region. The collaboration aims to strengthen Ehang’s position in sustainable air mobility and support Abu Dhabi’s global leadership in developing smart and autonomous vehicles for aerial applications.
