Additional Border Checkpoints Installed along the Armenia-Azerbaijan Border

As of April 26, 28 border posts have been installed on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, which is about 35 percent of the planned works, according to the Armenian government. The work of the expert groups from both countries is ongoing, the Armenian side has stated. Yesterday, the government announced that 20 border signs were placed on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. However, there are reports that border demarcation works are not visible near the Kirantsi bridge in the Tavush marz.

Deputy Chairman of the Defense Committee of the Parliament, Armen Khachatryan, previously mentioned that the border demarcation process in the Tavush and Kazakh sectors has technically been completed. Despite this progress, there are ongoing discussions and developments surrounding the border adjustments between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
